Build the capacity to learn, adapt, and thrive.

Confluence Network helps organizations strengthen the systems that connect people, knowledge, and action.

Today’s organizations don’t have a knowledge problem.They have a coordination problem.

The shift we create

BeforeAfter
Expertise is siloed. Different teams solve the same problems independently, and the people who've already figured it out rarely get asked.Expertise travels. Teams know who to ask, and the people with answers are easy to find.
AI adoption is fragmented. Pilots pop up in pockets across the organization, with no shared strategy for what "ready" looks like or who's accountable for getting there.AI adoption has a shared strategy — clear ownership, a common definition of "ready," and pilots that build on each other instead of duplicating effort.
Innovation happens in pockets. A great idea takes root in one team and never spreads, because there's no structure for surfacing it or connecting it to the people who could use it.Good ideas spread. There's a structure for surfacing what's working and connecting it to the people who need it next.
Lessons disappear after projects end. Insight gets captured in a final report, then the team disbands and the knowledge leaves with them.Lessons stick. What a project team learns becomes part of how the organization operates, long after the team disbands.
Communities lose momentum. A network or community of practice launches with energy, then quietly stalls once the initial push fades and no one owns keeping it alive.Communities sustain themselves. Someone owns keeping the momentum alive, so energy doesn't depend on any one launch moment.

The Confluence Capacity ModelTM

Organizations generate knowledge every day.Yet most of it remains trapped inside teams, projects, meetings, documents, and individual experience. The Confluence Capacity Model TM helps organizations discover what's already working, transform distributed knowledge into coordinated action—and coordinated action into lasting capacity.

From knowledge → to action → to capacity

Organizational capacity is a strategic advantage in complex, fast-changing environments.

Meet Kathe

Dr. Kathe Pelletier is the founder of Confluence Network. After more than 20 years leading organizational change from the inside — at institutions, associations, and foundations — she's convinced that lasting capacity is built one honest conversation at a time. Her approach is grounded in appreciative inquiry: start with what's already working, build trust across silos, then design the systems that let people keep learning together long after she's gone. A contributor to national horizon-scanning research since 2018, she brings a foresight practitioner's instinct for what's coming next into every engagement. Clients describe her as someone who makes complex change feel human again.
